These skills and attributes are developed when people are supported through on-going professional learning and education to reshape themselves for the constant demands at hand.  This is seeing a change in the way education and training is being designed, developed and delivered to reflect modern workplace and community needs.

To support this change, presenters of the 2015 Moodle-Mahara Meetup (#MMMup) will showcase and share how they encompass the online learning ecosystem of Moodle learning management system and Mahara eportfolio system, coupled with:

  • the use of open badges to represent a large variety of learning experiences
  • technical innovations which allow people to capture their learning on the go using mobile devices, and
  • systems which help shape and record the 70 20 10 model of learning

to support the fluid and on-going experiences people encounter in life-long and life-wide learning.

Dominique Alain Jan Photo-smileJoin Dominique-Alain Jan from Switzerland, MMMup’s Keynote, as he shares how a simple paradigm shift can be the key to success when embedding the use of eportfolios and open badges in the curriculum.  Listen to Yuliya Bozhko from New Zealand, MMMup’s Opening Speaker, share how formal learning is becoming more social.

Through these and other diverse presentations, workshops, facilitated conversations and group activities, MMMup participants will find new and exciting ways of supporting their learners manage their own learning, so they can thrive and survive in our dynamic world.

MMMup will be held on 16 April 2015 at University of South Australia, City West Campus, Adelaide.  The MMMup program is now available. Registrations are now open.
